Thunder Tea Rice

This is simple Hakka fare, a bowl of brown rice with a generous helping of basil, mint and other chopped up veggies, a handful of crushed peanuts scattered over the top. You ladle a neon green "tea" over it, the tea having some other ingredients in it and not being actually just tea. I love the fragrance of the basil and mint, workers sit at the table, plucking the leaves diligently as we eat in the little shop.

Sometimes, the simple things in life are the best.
